Frequently Asked Questions
What areas do you deliver skip bins to?
We service all areas across North Brisbane, Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast. If you are located outside these areas, we may still be able to service you, however please get in touch to determine any extra charges that may apply. For more information see Service Areas
When can I get a skip bin delivered?
We operate seven days a week. Bookings made by midday can usually be delivered the same working day, at no extra cost.
How long can I hire a skip bin for?
All bin hires are quoted as a minimum 7 day hire period. A $20 fee per day hire fee will apply thereafter.
How do I book and pay for a skip?
Head to our contact us page and give us a call or send us an email to book your skip. We ask for payment before delivery where possible. This can be done by either credit card or debit card over the phone. We accept all major credit cards. Alternatively we accept cash-on-delivery or pay via EFTPOS to the driver when your bin is delivered.
Where can your bins be delivered and placed?
We deliver to residential, businesses, building sites, factories and more. If our truck can access your site, we will deliver. Skip bins generally need to be placed on private property, like a driveway. If you’d like to place the bin on the road or footpath, you may need a council or QLD police permit. Please contact us for more information. Please also ensure there are no power lines or trees that may make it difficult for us to place the bin, and allow at least 3m for truck access.
Can I move the bin after it's been placed?
For many reasons the answer to this is no. Moving the bin after it has been placed can make it extremely difficult for the bin to be picked up, can damage the bin (which you may be liable for) and is not a safe action to move a bin without the right equipment. Trash It accept no liability for the costs required to rectify a “moved bin” scenario, or any damage or injury that this action may cause.
How do I know which size bin to order?
Our skip sizes page shows the measurements of each bin. We recommend ordering a skip slightly larger than the volume you have estimated. Our most popular bin is our medium bin. If you’re unsure please contact us.
What waste can I put in the skip bin?
Our skip bins provide an easy and environmentally friendly way for you to dispose of your waste, but it is important that you order the right bin for your needs. Visit our waste types page for more information on what waste should and shouldn’t be put in our bins.
How high can I fill the skip and what happens if it’s overfilled?
All skips are not to be loaded any higher than the top rim. If your bin has been overfilled, we reserve the right to remove any excess contents from the bin before collection. See our terms and conditions for more information.
How do you dispose of the waste?
We ensure your waste is disposed of in the most environmentally friendly way possible. All waste is sorted and we recycle 100% to different plants and facilities around Brisbane, preventing unnecessary waste going into landfill.
